About Us

Project Gyan is an effort to tackle the growing dropout rates from the high school system in India. We wish to bring change by arousing the interest of young people in science through experiments that will pique their interests and help them understand key scientific principles. We wish to enthuse a child using out-of-the-box science instead of the bookish science that is taught in the Indian Education system. We have divided various chapters and topics on science into segments and are trying to apply the things in textbooks to things that they see around them so that it's relatable.

We began our flagship program on 15 January for 4 schools in Nagpur.

Mission

More than three quarters of schools in India don't have a practical laboratory. Practical exposure is essential to get children thrilled about science. Not wanting to study, or thinking that studying is boring is one of the biggest hinderances to learning. Project Gyan is an effort to turn around this situation and pique students’ interest in practical applications of Science; this in turn will encourage them to acquire knowledge about such topics with more enthusiasm, and lead to the overall development in the quality of their learning.
